I have read your book and it has answered a lot of questions for me. I read with sadness because your book confirmed to me the reasons we have had so many problems with our Doberman, Toby 4 1/2 , who we had put to sleep yesterday 24.08.07.

Our Doberman was bought from a breeder who sold him to us at only 5 weeks old. He became a very difficult dog over the years as he was definitely dominant. We couldn't even walk him on a lead and he was hateful to other animals. Your book mentioned every symptom he had and I was glad to get some explanation for his bad behaviour. He was a great friend yet his behaviour became so unacceptable.

When we're over Toby we will be getting a new puppy hopefully and your book has been lifeline in helping us know how to choose the right one for us. I feel that we will not make the mistakes we did with Toby. Finding a good breeder is paramount and knowing how to assess the puppy before purchasing gives us hope. I even watched videos on the Internet and could see the different personalities coming through on each puppy in different videos. This was after reading your book. Perhaps this is a tip you could put into your book to help people practise what you are 'preaching.'

It was well indexed and my 12 year old dyslexic daughter found the language simple and instructions clear. Well done! Some doggie books can involve so much reading and I found your book quick and easy to read through, yet answered everything. It was also sensible with no nutty advice as some books do. I didn't skip through it as I would do with some books but found every part 'readable.'

I wish you well with your book and I'm glad I came across it, when I did.

What really impressed me about the book is that every single detail about buying a dog is explained, finding a reputable breeder, meeting the breeder, choosing a puppy from the litter. I have learned a lot even though i am only at the 10th page. Thank you.

I'm only on page 9 but so far your book seems very informative and packed with wonderful helpful hints.

The book is a wonderful source of good information. I've bought and bred dogs (for myself) but there were especially some things I really appreciated reading about. For instance, your points on how to tell if a small puppy will be dominant, submissive, etc. That was great advice. And we all need reminders on crating/caging our puppies. I also liked that you inserted the links to have the reader check out warnings on pet food, etc. The only thing I thought it was missing was some info on microchips, but I'm only halfway through. Maybe I haven't gotten to that.

I enjoyed your e-book, for it answered a lot of questions. I have a Maltese and trying to toilet train her. I got her when she was 5 months old and had not been out doors. According to you e-book I am trying to train her to potty in two places and plan on changing that.

One Question is how do I get her to stop barking when she hears a noise or introducing her to other people or dogs?
